Welcome from the Headteacher
A very warm welcome to Lime Wood Primary School.
Lime Wood Primary School opened its doors in September 2023, initially welcoming a Reception cohort. As our community grows, so will our school, eventually expanding to a three-form entry school.
We are proud to be part of the Erith Hills Quarry community and are dedicated to collaborating with parents, carers, residents, and local businesses. By fostering these partnerships and listening to our community, we aim to provide an education that nurtures life-long learners.
As the Headteacher of Lime Wood Primary School, I am both delighted and privileged to lead this wonderful, nurturing school. Inspired by a TED Talk by American educator Rita Pierson, who emphasized that “Every child needs a Champion,” I have adopted this as my personal mantra throughout my career within the Woodland Academy Trust. This philosophy aligns perfectly with our Trust’s ethos: “Ignite the spark, reveal the champion.”
It also shapes our school vision:
'To deliver a curriculum led by excellent teachers, supported by a robust framework for excellence in culture, behavior, attainment, and wellbeing – to find the champion in everyone'.
Welcoming our first cohort of Reception children last year was a joy, and with our second cohort now joining us, we are building a team of founders alongside new staff and community members. Together, we will help our school flourish in the years to come. I look forward to getting to know all the children, parents, and carers who will join us on this exciting journey.
