Taking Part in Science Week.

27 Mar 2025

We had an incredible time celebrating Science Week as part of British Science Week, with students engaging in a range of exciting activities, experiments, and challenges that sparked curiosity and innovation. Throughout the week, students took part in hands-on experiments and science-themed competitions, exploring everything from chemistry to engineering in a fun and engaging way.

We were thrilled to welcome Dr. Clarke, a STEM Ambassador from STEM Learning UK, who visited our Year 1 students to talk about batteries and recycling. His potato-powered clock demonstration left the children in awe! Dr. Clarke was impressed by our students, describing them as "attentive, inquisitive, and fully engaged"—a true reflection of our school values!
Inspired by Dr. Clarke’s visit and our energy experiments, we are excited to introduce a Battery Recycling Box in our front office! We encourage our school community to bring in used batteries and help us make a positive environmental impact. This initiative is a great way to extend our Science Week learning into real-world action for a greener future.

Congratulations to our Science Week competition winners! Well done to everyone who took part—we are incredibly proud of you!
