Governance

Local Academy Committee

Our Local Academy Committee is a local governing body composed of volunteers drawn from the community, each bringing a range of skills, expertise and professional experience. Our Governors provide essential links between the school, parents and carers and the local community. Governors work with staff and parents in an atmosphere of co-operation to provide the best possible framework for educating our children. They are involved in different aspects of school life and have the opportunity to influence the school experience and the lives of the children in our school.

Our governors fulfil their roles and responsibilities by:

  • Supporting the school, it's vision and values, by working strategically.
  • Seeking to ensure that every child that attends our school has access to a good standard of education that results in good outcomes - this is done by supporting the monitoring of the quality of teaching and standards.
  • Being part of our stakeholder's voice as well as feeding back to our stakeholders.
  • Taking special interest roles such as; Safeguarding, SEND, Attendance & Behaviour, Health & Safety.
  • Supporting the school to be accountable for performance and decisions that are made.
